SHRIMP AND PENNE IN ALFREDO SAUCE

Make this scrumptious shrimp & penne pasta in Alfredo sauce with Del Monte Penne pasta, prawns, olive oil, cloves, thyme, cheddar cheese, and chili flakes. Serve this creamy seafood pasta with a side of fresh Arugula leaves.

Ingredients

2 cups penne pasta
1 cup prawns
2 tablespoons olive oil
4-5 garlic cloves sliced
½ teaspoon thyme
- dried/fresh Chilli flakes as required
2 tablespoons butter
175 ml heavy cream
¾ cup Cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Cook Pasta as per the packet instructions In a heavy bottom pan.
  2. Add olive oil and garlic. Cook until garlic is fragrant and golden.
  3. Add shrimps, thyme, season with salt, pepper and chilli flakes and cook for few minutes until shrimps are pink (approx. 6-7 minutes)
  4. In another pan, heat butter Add cream and cheddar cheese, and mix.
  5. Season with salt and  pepper and simmer for 4-5 minutes.
  6. Take it off the heat Toss Shrimp, penne and alfredo sauce.
  7. Dish out and serve immediately.
