Farfalle with lemon sauce

Make this delicious farfalle in lemon sauce with Del Monte farfalle pasta, garlic, mushrooms, green peas, Del Monte extra virgin olive oil, fresh cream, a handful of garden herbs, and parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

200 grams Del Monte farfalle pasta (about 2 cups)
2 large garlic cloves chopped
8-9 button mushrooms sliced
1/2 cup green peas
4-5 tablespoons fresh cream
- Juice and zest of 1 lime
- Salt To Taste
1 teaspoon black pepper powder (or to taste)
2 tablespoon Del Monte Olive oil or butter
- Handful of fresh chopped herbs or 2 teaspoons mixed dried herbs
- Parmesan cheese shavings as required for garnish

Method


  1. Cook pasta as per package instructions.
  2. Add the peas to the pasta while cooking so that they are blanched simultaneously.
  3. Drain the pasta and peas.
  4. Reserve 1 ladleful of the pasta water.
  5. In a pan add the oil or butter.  Add the garlic and sauté for a few seconds.
  6. Add the mushrooms and sauté for a minute, till they sweat.
  7. Add the pasta and peas and stir.
  8. Season with salt and pepper. Add the reserved pasta water and mix.
  9. Add cream, lemon juice and zest. Stir once or twice and take it off the heat. Garnish with herbs and cheese shavings. Serve hot or cold.
