Corn Nachos

Are your taste buds craving a little Mexican treat? You're in luck! These crunchy Corn Nachos are here to satisfy your small pangs with the healthy goodness of Del Monte Whole Kernel Corn. Fry it. Dip it. Munch it.

Ingredients

2 cups Maize Flour (corn meal)
¾ cup All Purpose flour
¾ cup Del Monte whole kernel corn
1 teaspoon oregano
some Salt, pepper and chili flakes as required
some oil (for frying)
1 cup Luke warm water (for kneading)

Method

  1. Pulse the crunchy Del Monte whole kernel corn to a paste in a bowl. Add all the other ingredients to it and knead it to a soft dough using required amount of lukewarm water. You’ll need to put in some elbow grease to get the perfect dough.
  2. Remember how your mom got those hot rotis ready for dinner? Similarly, divide the dough into equal balls. Dust a flat surface with a bit of flour and gently roll it out into a thin chapati. Repeat the same for all.
  3. Get the nachos ready with a triangle (cookie) cutter.
  4. Heat enough oil in kadhai or pan and deep fry the nachos on medium heat until golden and crisp. Be careful with the hot oil.

Serve them with salsa or guacamole, cheesy dips or any other sauce of your choice.

Mmm! What a tasty treat!
