Chocolate Syrup Banana Bread 

A super fudgy Chocolate Banana Bread topped with melted chocolate chips and Del Monte Chocolate syrup for extra decadence will become your new favourite way to use up your ripe bananas!

Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
1 Tsp Baking Powder
1/2 cup Del Monte Chocolate Syrup
3 large mashed Bananas
1/2 cup Coconut Oil
1/2 cup Brown sugar
1/2 cup Honey
1 large egg
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract For The Filling
1 cup Chocolate Chips
1 Banana, sliced to top the cake

Method

  1. Preheat the oven at 180°C
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and baking powder. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, add the mashed bananas and coconut oil and whisk until combined. Add in the brown sugar, honey, egg and vanilla extract and whisk it all together.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and fold through, until well combined.
  5. Add in the chocolate chips and fold them through the batter.
  6. Pour into a rectangular cake pan lined with parchment paper. Tap on the counter so all the air pockets are eliminated. Place a sliced banana over the batter.
  7. Bake for an hour or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool completely once baked, slice and serve.
